Jockeying for 2020: Trump Face-off

POINT:

Back room chatter among Republicans has likely surfaced some possible contestants to a Trump face-off for the nomination before 2020, but I would contend that Republicans looking to oust Trump don’t fight this battle until February of 2020.

 

 

ANDY’S COUNTERPOINT:

It takes $1 billion to run for President these days, so the jockeying for 2020 begins in February 2019! We will see what Republican Senators that may be out of a job after the 2018 election will decide to do. And on the 2020 race, maybe Bloomberg decides to jump in this time — either as a Democrat, or as an Independent. He might be too middle of the road to get the nomination as a Democrat.
