CH2M HILL wins water design-build contract at Marine base

CH2M HILL Constructors, Inc., a unit of CH2M HILL (Denver, CO), has received a contract from the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southwest to design and build a water treatment plant and associated infrastructure at the Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, California. Under the lump-sum, fixed-price contract, CH2M HILL will construct a new potable water line with pump stations, a potable water reservoir, and a water treatment facility, with the work expected to be completed by 2016. The contract has an initial value in excess of $76.6 million but could be worth up to nearly $80.8 million if an option and planned modification are exercised.
