Greenman to divest recycled rubber unit, focus on fuel conversion

Tire recycler Greenman Technologies, Inc. (Lynnfield, MA) announced that it plans to divest Green Tech Products, Inc., the company’s molded recycled rubber products business, in order to focus exclusively on its fuel conversion business. Greenman’s American Power Group subsidiary offers a dual-fuel technology that allows diesel engines to run on diesel fuel and compressed natural gas (CNG) or diesel fuel and bio-methane. The technology displaces up to 70% of normal diesel fuel with CNG or bio-methane, resulting in cleaner-burning engines. Greenman acquired American Power Group in July 2009.
