EPA adds 10 hazardous waste sites to NPL

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has issued a final rule under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) that adds 10 sites to the National Priorities List (NPL) of Superfund sites. The latest additions include sites in Maryland, Missouri, Montana, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Puerto Rico, and Texas. EPA has also issued a proposal to add another 15 sites in 13 states to the Superfund list. There are currently 1,290 sites listed on the NPL.
