Clarcor to acquire air filtration business from GE

Clarcor Inc. (Franklin, TN) has entered into an agreement with General Electric Co. (Fairfield, CT) under which Clarcor will acquire the air filtration business of GE Power and Water for approximately $265 million, subject to certain adjustments. The operations to be acquired employ 700 people around the world and have generated approximately $230 million in revenue over the last 12 months. The business is headquartered in Overland Park, Kansas, and has manufacturing operations in Missouri, the United Kingdom, and China. The transaction is expected to close by the end of the year.
