EBJ Business Achiever of the Week: Mabbett & Associates Ltd.

Hats off this week to Mabbett & Associates Ltd. (Glasgow, Scotland), the Europe-based sister company of Mabbett & Associates, Inc. (Bedford, MA), for increasing sales from £169,000 in 2009 to £413,000 in 2012 (about $673,190 U.S.), achieving these goals during a period of severe recession in Europe and without external financial institution support. Mabbett won nationally funded, multi-year tenders in Northern Ireland and has become one of the leading environmental consultancies in Northern Ireland with a full-time staff of three employees. The company also competed for and was awarded one of a few limited corporate contracts for GE International, initially for all GE entities located in the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom. In the spring of 2012, the GE contract was amended to include mainland Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Mabbett has also successfully supported the government of Israel’s Ministry of Environmental Protection in partnership with a leading Tel Aviv-based environmental consultancy.
