Fuel Tech receives APC orders totaling $13.8 million
Air pollution control (APC) systems provider Fuel Tech, Inc. (Warrenville, IL) announced that it has recently received a series of orders amounting to $13.8 million in sales. One award came from an existing client in China for two ULTRA systems to reduce emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx), while another order was from a new Chinese customer for an ULTRA retrofit on a coal-fired boiler. The remaining two orders came from U.S. clients—one from a southern utility that has ordered Fuel Tech’s High Energy Reagent Technology (HERT) and NOxOUT selective non-catalytic reduction (SNCR) systems to reduce NOx emissions from three coal-fired boilers. The other U.S. order was from a chemical company for which Fuel Tech will install a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system to reduce NOx emissions from an industrial gas-fired boiler
