Advanced Recycling Systems bought by private equity firms

Wisdom Capital Partners, LLC (Greenwich, CT) has partnered with Stanwich Partners LLC (Wilton, CT) and Ironwood Capital (Avon, CT) to purchase Advanced Recycling Systems, Inc. (ARS; Lowellville, OH), a maker of equipment for collecting and recycling dust and debris generated in industrial environments. ARS designs and sells steel grit recyclers, dust collectors, and other equipment for the bridge painting, municipal water tank, ship-building, and manufacturing industries, offering lower waste transportation and landfilling costs as a key part of its value proposition. “We were attracted by ARS’s reputation and the quality of its products, which are second to none in its industry,” said Tom Herrmann, a managing director at Stanwich. “We believe the company’s prospects are excellent as ARS continues to gain share in its existing markets and enter new industrial markets where there is a need for recycling solutions.”
