Golder Associates picks up Hong Kong geotechnical firm
Global consulting, design, and construction services firm Golder Associates has expanded in southeast Asia through the acquisition of Geotechnical Consulting Group (Asia) Ltd., a Hong Kong-based firm specializing in geotechnical and foundation engineering. Geotechnical Consulting Group (Asia) was established in 1998 by Tom Henderson and Andy Pickles in collaboration with London-based Geotechnical Consulting Group. Henderson and Pickles have a combined total of 40 years’ experience working in southeast Asia in the areas of planning, design, construction, contract administration, and risk management, according to Golder. The transaction builds on Golder’s late 2011 acquisition of Singapore-based GeoEng Consultants.
