United Water renews contract with Illinois city

   United Water (Harrington Park, NJ), the U.S. contract operations arm of Paris-based SUEZ Environnement, has received a two-year renewal of its contract to operate and maintain the wastewater treatment system serving the municipality of Bensenville, Illinois. The Bensenville wastewater system, which serves approximately 20,800 residents, includes a 4.7 million-gallon-per-day wastewater treatment facility, 19 lift stations, and three stormwater pump stations. The new two-year contract took effect on Jan. 1, 2012, and carries provisions for automatic annual renewal thereafter. The contract has a value of about $4 million.
