LDG, Newalta partner to pursue shale gas market
Architectural and engineering firm Larson Design Group (LDG; Williamsport, PA) and Newalta (Calgary, Alberta), a provider of product recovery and environmental services to the oil and gas exploration and production (E&P) industry, have formed a partnership under which the two companies will grow LDG subsidiary TerrAqua Resource Management (TARM), a provider of water treatment services to shale gas E&P companies in the Marcellus Shale region. The partnership will focus on the development and construction of new TARM recycle/reuse facilities for treating flowback and produced waters from Marcellus Shale gas development. “Newalta’s expertise in operation of waste treatment, disposal, and recovery facilities will be a valuable asset to TARM and help improve efficiencies and enhance the environmental health and safety of facilities as TARM continues to grow,” said Keith Kuzio, LDG’s president and CEO. “In addition, Newalta’s focus on employees, the community, and environment are all in line with our core values and vision for the growth for TARM.”
