Waste Management acquires water treatment assets

Waste Management of Pennsylvania, Inc., a subsidiary of Waste Management, Inc. (Houston, TX), has acquired certain assets from Bosque Disposal Systems, LLC (Dallas, TX), a provider of flowback and produced water treatment systems to the gas exploration and production industry. Under the agreement, Waste Management will assume Bosque’s water treatment, recycling processes, and operations in the Marcellus Shale region of Pennsylvania and West Virginia. “Waste Management has an unmatched network of landfills and transportation assets overlaying the Marcellus Shale formation,” said James Fish, Waste Management’s vice president for the Pennsylvania/West Virginia market. “With this acquisition, Waste Management is uniquely positioned to provide producers an integrated portfolio of solutions for both drilling solids and waters.”
