ICF International to acquire Marbek Resource Consultants

ICF International (Fairfax, VA) and Marbek Resource Consultants Ltd., a Canadian energy and environmental consultancy, have signed a definitive agreement whereby ICF will acquire Marbek for an undisclosed consideration. Marbek employs about 35 people at offices in the Ottawa and Toronto areas and generates annual revenue of approximately $6 million Canadian (about $5.9 million U.S.). ICF said that the addition of Marbek will complement ICF’s existing Canadian presence in Toronto and Calgary and will create one of the largest energy and environmental consultancies serving the Canadian market. “Marbek is well known for being innovative and responsive to client needs and for delivering results with an uncompromising commitment to quality,” said ICF International Chairman and CEO Sudhakar Kesavan. “This acquisition allows ICF to build scale in Canada and to create business expansion opportunities internationally.”
