AECOM wins design-build water contract in Florida

AECOM Technology Corp. (Los Angeles, CA) announced that it has received a contract from the municipality of Davie, Florida, to design and build water and wastewater treatment facilities serving the city. Under the contract, which has a value of about $101 million, AECOM will design and construct a 6 million gallon per day (mgd) brackish water membrane treatment plant and a 3.5 mgd membrane-based water reclamation plant. The company will also construct a series of five raw water wells and two deep injection wells. AECOM expects to complete the project sometime during 2013.
