Insituform wins term contract for sewer rehab in Texas
Insituform Technologies, Inc. (Chesterfield, MO) has received a three-year term contract from the city of Austin, Texas, to provide sewer pipeline rehabilitation services. Under the contract, which has a value of about $11.7 million, Insituform will use its cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) technology to upgrade sewer pipelines throughout the city. CIPP is a jointless pipe-within-a-pipe used to rehabilitate wastewater pipelines ranging in diameter from six to 96 inches. Insituform has already received its first work order under the contract, valued at $2.3 million.
