ENPAR Forms Partnership to Pursue Korean Water Treatment Market

ENPAR Technologies Inc. (Guelph, Ont.) and South Korea’s JA Construction Co., Ltd. (JACON) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to jointly market ENPAR’s water treatment systems in the Republic of Korea. JA Construction, a general construction firm generating about $85 million in annual revenue, has been providing its own technologies for treating sewage, landfill leachate, and non-point source pollution since 1995. It will combine these products with ENPAR’s systems to provide integrated systems and a broader product line. “ENPAR’s entry into the Republic of Korea is central to efforts to penetrate the emerging water treatment markets in Asia,” said ENPAR President and CEO Gene Shelp. “Market entrance and acceptance should be achievable through business relationships with long-established, highly respected firms, each with ready access to an existing broad client base and distribution channels. JACON believes that the ENPAR array of products is well-suited to the Korean water treatment market which is estimated at U.S. $2 billion to 3 billion annually,” he added.
