The consensus amongst environmental service providers and their business development executives is that not much has come across their radar screens in terms of opportunities to access project funds authorized by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act of 2021.
The IIJA was much heralded on its passage in November 2021. The potential flow of project funding is still regarded as a substantial opportunity in transportation, water/wastewater, electricity grid modernization, electric vehicle infrastructure, remediation, and other project areas.
So what is the holdup? And what are some examples of programs or agencies that are ahead of the game?
These questions and more will be opposed to a panel of executives from companies pursuing or already managing IIJA funded projects.
