Waste Management gets all clear to buy Southern Waste

Waste Management Inc. (Houston) has received antitrust clearance from the Justice Department to acquire Southern Waste Systems (Davie, Fla.). Southern Waste generates revenues of $125 million a year, according to Margatenews.net. The acquisition follows the closing of the Waste Management’s purchase of Deffenbaugh Disposal Inc. (Kansas City) for approximately $405 million in March 2015.
