News Release -- San Diego, Calif. -- Environmental Business Journal (EBJ) and sister publication Climate Change Business Journal (CCBJ) are inviting nominations for the annual EBJ-CCBJ Awards. The awards are open to all companies in the environmental industry and climate change industry, including those in environmental consulting & engineering, water/wastewater, air pollution control, resource recovery, solid waste, hazardous waste, technology and equipment, analytical services and clean energy, in addition to several climate change business segments.

How to Nominate a Company or Project for the 2016 EBJ-CCBJ Environmental Awards
To be considered for an award, achievements must have occurred in 2016 or reached a major milestone in 2016 (for multi-year projects). In addition to a brief description (200 words maximum), nominations should provide links to supporting materials, especially third-party reports or documents.

Nominations can be submitted by companies, their agents, representatives, partners or clients, EBJ and CCBJ staff, and EBJ and CCBJ editorial advisory board members. Deadline for nominations is December 23, 2016. » Submit Nomination Online

The EBJ-CCBJ Awards fall into more than a dozen categories, including Business Achievement, Mergers & Acquisitions, Information Technology, Project Merit, Technology Merit, New Practice areas, Social Contribution & Industry Leadership, Climate Change Adaptation and several other climate change categories. Awards will be determined by a committee of EBJ and CCBJ staff and EBJ editorial advisory board members.

Awards Ceremony at EBI's 15th Annual Environmental Industry Summit in Southern California

The 2016 EBJ-CCBJ Awards will be presented at a special ceremony and banquet at EBI's Environmental Industry Summit in Coronado, Calif. on the evening of March 22, 2017. Winners also receive a media template for distributing news of their award.

EBI’s 15th Annual Environmental Industry Summit is a three-day event hosted by EBJ and CCBJ at the Hotel Del Coronado in California. Dates for the 2017 Summit are March 22-24, 2017, and award recipients are invited to attend to receive their award.

U.S. Environmental Industry Generates $363 Billion in Revenues - December 2016
News Release -- San Diego, Calif. -- The U.S. environmental industry grew 3.5% in 2015, according to research and data compiled by Environmental Business International Inc. (EBI, San Diego, Calif.), publisher of Environmental Business Journal. The environmental industry's $363.3 billion in total revenues represented 2.83% of U.S. gross domestic product (GDP) in 2015. In 2016, EBI forecasts that the U.S. environmental industry will grow 3.7%, with annual average growth in 2017-2019 of 3-4%.

U.S. Environmental Industry Generates $353.7 Billion in Revenues - January 2016
News Release -- San Diego, Calif. -- The U.S. environmental industry grew 3.9% in 2014 to reach $353.7 billion in revenues, according to primary research and data compiled by Environmental Business International Inc., publisher of Environmental Business Journal. The environmental industry represented 2.82% of the U.S. gross domestic product (GDP) in 2014, and EBI estimates environmental industry employment at 1.74 million in 2014, up slightly from 2013. The U.S. environmental industry boasts a trade surplus of $15 billion and 14% of its total revenues are generated outside the U.S.
